Lot 241: A London Souvenir 1g Silver 999 Medallion

A commemorative medallion of circular form, struck in fine silver. The obverse features a stylised London cityscape depicting St Paul’s Cathedral and the Palace of Westminster, partially overlaid by a red and blue enameled Union Jack shield. The legend 1g SILVER 999 is struck to the left of the cityscape. The reverse displays a heraldic motif consisting of a crowned shield bearing the Union Jack, supported by a lion and a unicorn.
