Lot 223: TBL Mint Mythology Series 5 Ounce Copper Atlas Round

A five-ounce copper art round of square form. The obverse features a high-relief, colourised illustration of the Titan Atlas supporting a celestial globe against a starry background. The design incorporates a stylised sun, moon, and architectural elements including a Greek temple and a cavernous landscape. The name ATLAS is embossed in a copper finish at the base. The reverse displays a central classical temple within a laurel wreath, surrounded by a border of Greek key patterns. The design is further decorated with mythological figures including a winged horse, a seated figure with a thunderbolt, a helmeted bust holding a shield, and a trident rising from waves. The reverse is stamped with the following text: TBL MINT, MYTHOLOGY SERIES, 5 AVDP OUNCES, and FINE COPPER. The piece is housed in a clear acrylic protective case.
