A contemporary decorative plaque in the form of a crowned skull, constructed from sheet silver. The piece features a stylised human skull facing forward, surmounted by a five-point crown decorated with three fleur-de-lis and circular accents. The obverse is finished with laser-etched linework to define the facial structure, eye sockets, nasal cavity, and teeth against a textured ground. The reverse has a brushed surface and bears a laser-etched maker’s mark consisting of a square box containing the letters PU and RE. To the right of the mark is the struck fineness 999, followed by the words FINE SILVER.

Condition report:
The plaque shows visible surface tarnishing and patina, particularly concentrated around the points of the crown, the lower jaw, and the outer edges of the skull (photo 1). Light surface scratches and handling marks are present on the polished areas of both the obverse and reverse (photo 2). The laser-etched detail remains clear and intact.
