This set comprises five proof coins from the Falkland Islands, dated 1974. The collection includes denominations of ten pence, five pence, two pence, one penny, and half penny. The ten pence and five pence coins are struck in cupro-nickel, while the two pence, one penny, and half penny coins are struck in bronze. Each obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II and the issuer name FALKLAND ISLANDS. The reverses depict local fauna: a sea lion on the 10p, an upland goose on the 5p, a swan on the 2p, a penguin on the 1p, and a bird in flight on the 1/2p. All coins are dated 1974. The coins are housed in a black plastic insert within a clear acrylic protective case, which is inscribed in gold-toned lettering FALKLAND ISLANDS 1974. A small white adhesive label is applied to the upper left corner of the case, handwritten in black ink FALKLANDS ISLANDS ELIZABETH II 1/2p -> 10p Y1-Y5. The set is contained in a blue textured cardboard presentation box printed in silver foil with the coat of arms of the Falkland Islands, the motto DESIRE THE RIGHT, and the legend COINAGE OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS 1974.

Condition report:

The coins appear in proof condition with high reflective luster and no visible signs of circulation or wear. The obverses and reverses show sharp strike details. The clear acrylic case and black insert remain intact without visible cracking. The outer blue presentation box shows minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the edges (photo 1). The internal case bears a small handwritten inventory label.
