A UK heptagonal commemorative coin, featuring a reverse design by Kiran Parmar depicting two athletes engaged in a Taekwondo match. The reverse is struck with the London 2012 logo at the upper centre and the legend 50 PENCE at the base. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is presented in its original Royal Mint card packaging, which is printed with the text LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION and TAEKWONDO in stylized pink lettering, alongside a graphic of two martial artists and the London 2012 logo. The packaging bears the TM trademark symbol. No further maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the coin or packaging.
Condition report:
The coin appears to be in brilliant uncirculated condition, showing full original luster and no visible signs of wear or contact marks on the struck surfaces. The illustrated card packaging shows signs of light handling, including minor wear to the edges and small creases at the corners and top edge. The coin remains secured within its original presentation card.
