Lot 92: A Zippo New York City Pocket Lighter and Maxi Novelty Table Lighter

This lot comprises a standard-sized Zippo pocket lighter and an oversized novelty table lighter. The pocket lighter is of polished metal construction and features an engraved scene on the front depicting the New York City skyline including the Twin Towers, a bridge, and a crescent moon. The text NEW YORK is displayed above the skyline, with a banner below reading THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS. The base is stamped with the Zippo logo, BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A., and date codes J and 01. The reverse of the lighter bears an orange adhesive safety warning label. It is housed in a black plastic display case with a paper insert and a retail label on the underside reading J P-5, PHANTOM OF BROADWAY, and $25.99. The oversized novelty lighter is of brushed metal construction and features a flip-top lid, a large perforated chimney, and a textured flint wheel. It is accompanied by a black cardboard box with white text arranged vertically reading MINI, A, XX, and I. No maker’s marks are visible on the novelty table lighter.
