A 2011 UK 50 pence coin, issued as part of the London 2012 sports collection. The heptagonal coin is constructed from cupro-nickel. The reverse features a stylised high jumper in mid-action clearing a bar, designed by Florence Jackson. The design includes the official LONDON 2012 logo at the top and the legend 50 PENCE at the bottom. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 2011. The coin is presented in its original illustrated card packaging, which features the word ATHLETICS in yellow capital letters and the LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION branding. The packaging displays the official London 2012 logo in the lower right corner and includes a stylised figure illustration on a blue and pink geometric background.
