Lot 517: A Pair of Polished Stone Heart Specimens on a Double Stand

A pair of mineral specimens, each carved and polished into a heart shape. The specimens are composed of a pinkish-orange microcrystalline quartz, featuring a mottled texture with white quartz inclusions and ochre-coloured staining throughout the matrix. Each heart exhibits natural geological features, including small crystal-lined vugs and surface pitting. The hearts are presented on a custom metal display stand with a black finish, comprising a square flat base and a central vertical support that branches into two sets of triangular cradles. The front faces of the hearts have been polished to a smooth, lustrous finish while the reverse and edges retain some of the natural irregular textures of the stone. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the specimens or the stand.
