Lot 506: A White Magnifying Floor Lamp With Fluorescent Ring Bulb
A contemporary magnifying floor lamp, designed for precision tasks. The unit comprises a circular magnifying head containing a glass lens and an integrated T5 22W fluorescent ring bulb. The lamp housing is constructed from white plastic and features a black rocker-type ON/OFF switch. A silver adhesive label on the rear of the lamp head is printed with RATED VOLTAGE: 220-240V, RATED FREQUENCY: 50HZ and a CE mark. The head is mounted to a white metal spring-balanced articulating arm, currently secured with a white plastic cable tie. The lot includes further components for assembly: three white metal pole sections, two metal cross-members for an X-shaped base, four castor wheels, and a white metal upright support. The lamp is fitted with a black power cord terminated with a standard UK 3-pin Type G plug. A printed assembly instruction sheet featuring a line drawing of the fully constructed unit is included. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item or the included documentation.
Condition report:
The magnifying lamp and its components appear in an unused and unassembled state. The glass magnifying lens and fluorescent bulb are intact. Minor scuffs and small fragments of polystyrene are present on the surfaces of the metal and plastic components from contact with the packaging (photo 3). A plastic cable tie remains in situ on the articulating arm. The item is supplied in its original cardboard shipping box with custom-fit polystyrene inserts and a printed instruction sheet.
