The lower section features a circular device containing a central rune flanked by the characters P and M, surrounded by a border of small circles. To the right of the device is the inscription WESSEX TM MINT. The bottom of the bar is struck with the legends 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER. The reverse of the bar is plain and features a textured, hammered-style finish.
Weight: 1g.
Condition report:
The bar exhibits significant signs of handling and environmental exposure. The obverse surfaces show a heavy dark tarnish across the field and numerous fine surface scratches and scuffs consistent with circulation. A small area of reddish-orange oxidation or foreign residue is visible on the bottom edge near the word SILVER. The struck details remain legible despite the surface wear. The bar is not accompanied by a protective capsule or assay card.
