Lot 35: A Hammersley Fine Bone China Victorian Violets Condiment Set

A Hammersley fine bone china condiment set, comprising a handled tray with an integrated central cylindrical well and two figural shakers. The set is decorated in the VICTORIAN VIOLETS pattern, featuring transfer-printed purple violet floral clusters and green foliage against a white ground. The tray is designed with a scalloped rim and an elevated scroll-shaped handle, both finished with hand-applied gilding. The two shakers are modelled as small songbirds with individual apertures to the crown for dispensing and are fitted with cork stoppers. The base of one shaker bears a green printed backstamp depicting a crest of an acorn and oak leaves within a basket, encircled by the legend HAMMERSLEY FINE BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND.
