A commemorative banknote presentation portfolio titled THE UK ROYAL TRIPLET, featuring a decorative brown exterior with a purple and gold central panel bearing the royal cypher EIIR. The set comprises three Bank of England banknotes, each sharing the matching low serial number BE98 000816. The first is a 1990 five pound note featuring George Stephenson on the reverse; the second is a 1992 ten pound note featuring Charles Dickens on the reverse; and the third is a 1993 twenty pound note featuring Michael Faraday on the reverse. All three notes bear the obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the printed signature of the Chief Cashier, G.E.A. KENTFIELD. The notes are housed in a folding card display with descriptive text panels for each denomination framed in purple and gold scrollwork. The reverse of the portfolio carries the copyright legends © THE GOVERNOR AND COMPANY OF THE BANK OF ENGLAND 1990, 1992, and 1993.

Condition report:

The banknotes are in uncirculated condition, showing no signs of handling, folds, or creasing. The paper retains original crispness with sharp corners and clean edges throughout. The printing is vibrant with no evidence of fading or environmental toning. The card portfolio remains structurally sound, though shows light shelf wear to the external corners and edges. The interior clear protective sleeves are intact and free from splits.
