A 2008 electric wet stone sharpening system with a blue plastic housing. The unit is fitted with a circular abrasive grinding wheel on one side and a leather-faced honing wheel on the opposite side. It features a metal universal support bar mounted via two adjustable screw knobs, and includes a metal straight-edge jig attached to the bar. A yellow and black adhesive label on the main body reads “SCHEPPACH TIGER 2000S”. A silver foil technical specification label is adhered to the side, reading “SCHEPPACH TIGER 2000S ART.NR. 8949 0930 1570 BJ 2008 1200 1/MIN 1/N /PE 50 HZ AC 230 / 240 V 0.6 A P1 0.12 KW P2 0.06 KW TOP QUALITY GRINDSTONE MAX. 200 MM ROTATION SPEED 120 RPM WEIGHT 9.5 KG D-89335 ICHENHAUSEN” alongside a “CE” mark. The black plastic hub of the leather wheel is embossed with “ABS 89490011”. The device is controlled by a front-mounted rocker switch.
Condition report:
The sharpening system shows heavy accumulations of sawdust and workshop debris across the housing, support bars, and wheels. The leather honing wheel exhibits surface staining and signs of use. The abrasive stone wheel shows wear consistent with regular sharpening. A water trough is missing from the base of the unit. The power cord is present; however, the electrical function is untested.
