Lot 231: An Adjustable Tripod Roller Stand
Not sold
An adjustable tripod roller stand featuring a black painted metal frame and a chrome-finished metal roller. The stand is designed as an outfeed support for workshop machinery, comprising a three-legged folding base with tubular feet capped in black rubber. A central square-section metal pillar allows for height adjustment, secured by a plastic star-head tension knob. The top horizontal support housing the cylindrical roller is connected to the central pillar via a pivot joint with a locking nut. The central vertical bar shows wear to the surface finish from repeated adjustment through the collar. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The stand shows signs of heavy workshop use and environmental exposure. The black painted surfaces exhibit multiple scuffs, scratches, and areas of paint loss, particularly on the legs. The chrome-finished roller displays significant surface oxidation, pitting, and accumulated workshop debris. The lower portions of the tripod legs and the rubber end caps are heavily coated in dried plaster, mud, or dust. Functional components, including the roller and adjustment screw, show surface wear and grime.
