Lot 191: An Axminster Dust Extraction Floor Sweep and Stand

A portable dust extraction floor sweep and stand, designed for workshop maintenance. The unit features a wide-mouth intake nozzle constructed from black composite, mounted upon an adjustable telescoping metal stand with a three-point base. A length of flexible ribbed translucent plastic extraction hose is secured to the nozzle by a metal worm-drive clamp. The opposite end of the hose is fitted with a black plastic blast gate shut-off valve. A central black pillar features a red plastic thumb screw for height adjustment and an adhesive label reading AXMINSTER above POWER TOOL CENTRE in red and white characters. The telescoping upper section is of polished metal construction, while the base and main support are finished in black paint. No other marks or serial numbers are visible on the equipment.
Condition report:
The equipment shows signs of moderate industrial use. The intake nozzle and flexible hose contain visible dust and wood residue (photo 1). The black-painted metal stand exhibits surface scuffing and areas of light surface oxidation, particularly around the three-point base (photo 3). The red plastic thumb screw is intact and appears functional. The flexible hose shows some general discolouration and minor abrasions consistent with workshop use, though no major tears are visible in the photographs. The blast gate valve is present and appears complete (photo 4).
