Lot 260: Wessex Mint Britannia 999 Fine Silver 1 Gram Bar
A fractional rectangular silver bullion bar issued by the Wessex Mint. The obverse features a standing figure of Britannia in classical attire, wearing a Corinthian helmet and holding a trident in her right hand and a Union Jack shield in her left. The background is composed of diagonal textured lines. The word BRITANNIA is oriented vertically along the left edge. The lower half of the bar is struck with a circular logo containing the letters P and M separated by a vertical line, enclosed within a dotted border. To the right of the logo is the text Wessex Mint with a TM symbol. The lower portion is inscribed 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER. The reverse is plain with a textured surface.

Condition report:
The bar shows signs of handling and environmental exposure. The obverse displays light surface scratches and contact marks across the raised relief and fields. Tarnish and dark toning are visible within the recessed lettering and around the border of the Britannia figure. The reverse shows similar fine surface scratches and light toning. The bar is not housed in a protective capsule or assay card.
