Lot 97: A Zippo Canada Maple Leaf Brass Pocket Lighter in Display Case

A Zippo windproof pocket lighter of rectangular form with a hinged flip-top lid. The lighter is constructed from brass, featuring a struck inscription reading SOLID BRASS to the front of the lid. The front body is decorated with an etched maple leaf emblem above the word Canada in a blackletter typeface. The interior features a brass-finished insert with a chimney containing sixteen circular perforations and a textured flint wheel surrounding a white wick. The lighter is presented in a black plastic flip-top display case which features the moulded brand name zippo to the front base. A moulded digit 5 within a circle is located on the interior of the case lid. Original printed instructional and guarantee paperwork is nested within the display box. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
