Lot 90: A 1995 USA Metal Lighter, Zippo Las Vegas Cowboy Design

A 1995 Zippo windproof lighter, of rectangular form with a polished metal body. The front face is decorated with a colour-printed graphic of a stylised cowboy in a brown vest and hat, holding red playing cards beside a stack of poker chips. The scene is set against a green background with the text LAS VEGAS in gold-tone script, framed by black spade and club symbols and red heart and diamond symbols. An orange adhesive safety label is affixed to the reverse, printed with the text WARNING KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN THIS LIGHTER IS NOT CHILD RESISTANT LIGHT ZIPPO AWAY FROM FACE CLOSE LID TO PUT OUT FLAME READ INSTRUCTIONS. The base is stamped with the letter J to the left of a ZIPPO logo featuring a flame symbol over the letter I, with the Roman numerals XI to the right and BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A. below. The lighter is contained within a black plastic display case printed ZIPPO U.S.A. LIGHTER in gold-tone lettering. A retail label on the side of the case bears a barcode with the sequence 0 41689 86015 8 and is printed 250 LAS VEGAS COWBOY. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
