Lot 80: A 2004 USA Zippo Lighter with Red Star Emblem

A 2004 USA Zippo windproof lighter of rectangular form with a high-polish metal finish. The front of the case features an applied five-pointed star emblem with red enamelled fields and a central circular medallion. This medallion displays a soldier carrying a rifle, surrounded by a border bearing the legend ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ! and the characters СССР at the base. A hammer and sickle symbol is situated at the bottom join of the star points. The base of the lighter is stamped with the letter F to the left and the numerals 04 to the right of a stylised ZIPPO logo. Below this is the struck inscription BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A. A small circular adhesive label on the lid reads ZIPPO 2895. A large orange adhesive safety warning label is affixed to the reverse. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
