Lot 498: United Kingdom 2021 Elizabeth II Royal Arms Fine Silver 10 Pounds Coin
A 2021 United Kingdom bullion coin of circular form, struck in fine silver. The obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem, set against a textured guilloche field. The designer’s initials J.C are visible below the neck truncation. The surrounding legend is inscribed 10 POUNDS ELIZABETH II D G REG F D. The reverse displays the Royal Coat of Arms, featuring a central shield supported by a crowned lion and a unicorn. The Garter encircling the shield is inscribed HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, and a ribbon below bears the motto DIEU ET MON DROIT. The date 2021 appears at the top. The lower edge is struck with the inscription 10oz FINE SILVER 999. The artist’s initials TN are present near the base of the shield. The reverse field is decorated with radial lines. The coin has a total precious metal content of 10 troy ounces of .999 fine silver.

Condition report:
The coin shows signs of environmental exposure and significant handling. The obverse displays prominent surface scratching, scuffing, and contact marks across the central portrait (photo 3). Milk-spotting and dark toning are visible within the textured fields and along the peripheral edges (photo 3). The reverse shows areas of tarnish and milk-spotting within the radial lines and near the inscriptions (photo 1 and 2). No protective capsule or original packaging is provided.
