Lot 346: A Set of Marble Liverpool Football Club Coasters
This lot comprises a set of square marble coasters, each featuring tumbled edges and a porous texture. The stone surfaces are printed with reproductions of historical Liverpool Football Club match day programmes and reports in a red and black colour scheme. The printed legends include E.U.F.A. CUP FINAL, LIVERPOOL VERSUS BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH, and LIVERPOOL 3 BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH 0. Further prints include THE ANFIELD REVIEW, LIVERPOOL V. SERVETTE GENEVA, WEDNESDAY, 29TH SEPT. 1971, LIVERPOOL 3 HIBERNIAN 1, 30 SEPTEMBER 1975, and OFFICIAL PROGRAMME, LIVERPOOL V. EVERTON, TUESDAY, 5TH MAY, 1959. The coasters are constructed from natural white stone. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The set shows no visible signs of damage or significant wear. The distressed and uneven finish to the edges and corners is a deliberate feature of the tumbled marble material and does not constitute damage. The printed graphics and text remain clear and legible with no observed surface scratches, fading, or losses. No fractures, deep staining, or chips are present on any of the coasters. No original packaging is supplied.
