Lot 320: A 2013 Makita GA9020S Angle Grinder with Diamond Cutting Disc
A 2013 corded angle grinder, featuring a teal plastic motor housing and a black rubberised rear grip. The tool is fitted with a metal gearbox housing, a black auxiliary side handle, and a metal safety guard. It is equipped with a segmented diamond-edged cutting disc and a black power cable. The underside of the motor housing bears a printed adhesive label reading ‘MAKITA’, ‘Ø230MMGA9020S’, ‘230-240V~ 8.8A 50-60HZ’, ‘2000W N 6600MIN-1’, ‘2013 501564R’, ‘M14’, and ‘MAKITA CORPORATION ANJO, AICHI, JAPAN’. The name ‘MAKITA’ is moulded in relief on the side of the teal housing. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The tool shows signs of heavy industrial use and environmental exposure. The plastic housing exhibits numerous surface scuffs, scratches, and residue of white paint or plaster (photo 1). The metal gearbox housing shows significant oxidation and accumulated grime (photo 1). The fitted diamond cutting disc is heavily rusted across both faces (photo 2). The power cable is intact but carries heavy surface dirt. The internal mechanical and electrical status is untested.
