A 1985 .999 fine silver round, featuring a profile of Lady Liberty. The obverse design is modeled after the United States Morgan silver dollar, depicting a left-facing profile wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY. The legend E · PLURIBUS · UNUM is struck along the upper rim, with the date 1985 and thirteen stars positioned below the bust. The reverse features a central set of balance scales flanked by laurel branches. Struck legends include ONE TROY OUNCE along the upper edge, with .999 FINE SILVER and SILVER TRADE UNIT positioned below the scales. The round features a reedless edge. Condition report:
The round shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays significant yellowish-brown toning across the fields and devices (photo 1), with scattered fine surface scratches and contact marks throughout. The reverse exhibits darker, mottled grey-brown oxidation and tarnish (photo 2), particularly concentrated around the legends and scales. Small nicks are visible along the reedless edge.
