Lot 113: UK 2015 Royal Arms One Pound DateStamp Specimen Coin
A UK 2015 specimen one pound coin, presented within a DateStamp protective capsule. The reverse features the Royal Shield of Arms with the struck legend ONE POUND. The coin is paired with a red Royal Mail postage stamp featuring the Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the characters 1ST. The presentation insert features a black ink postmark reading TOWER HILL 9 SEP 2015 LONDON, EC3. The lower portion of the insert is printed with the text DATESTAMP TM ASTON WAY, POOLE, BH12 4FE.
Condition report:
The reverse of the coin displays bright lustre and sharp details with no visible signs of wear or contact marks (photo 1). The obverse and edge are concealed within the packaging. The clear protective holder and printed insert appear well-preserved.
