A 1994 United Kingdom 50 pence coin, commemorative of the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The reverse design features a schematic representation of the Allied invasion fleet with ships and aircraft heading toward the Normandy coast, with the denomination struck as 50. The coin is housed in a clear square plastic case containing a blue card insert. The insert is printed with two Union Jack flags and two ER monograms. Legible text on the insert reads BRITAIN, 50p, 50th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings Commemorative, 1944, and 1994. The coin is of the larger 30mm diameter format issued prior to the size reduction in 1997. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

The reverse displays high original luster and a sharp strike with no visible fine surface scratches, contact marks, or environmental toning (photo 1). The blue card insert and clear plastic case are in good condition without significant wear or damage. Supplied in a protective clear plastic case and card insert.
