Lot 356: A Set of Six English Shirecraft Bone China Teacups and Saucers, painted fruit decoration

This lot comprises a set of six teacups and matching saucers, each constructed from bone china. The exterior of each cup and the upper surface of each saucer is decorated with a hand-finished painted fruit motif, including peaches, grapes, and berries, set against a mossy ground featuring a central bird’s nest containing eggs. This composition is presented on a pale yellow ground. The teacups are of a flared form with white interiors and are fitted with scrolling handles featuring a full gilt finish. The rims of both the cups and the circular saucers are also finished with a gilt edge. Each piece bears a black printed backstamp on the underside in a Gothic-style font reading SHIRECRAFT BONE CHINA ENGLAND. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
