A contemporary bullion round of circular form, struck in .999 fine copper. The obverse features a central design incorporating symbols of an hourglass, an open book, a compass rose, a flaming torch, and laurel sprigs, all enclosed within a decorative scroll border. The reverse is decorated with a high-relief scene depicting a hooded skeletal figure above a boat on water, with three skulls positioned at the upper edge. The obverse bears the struck legends TALES OF OLD and 1 OZ AVDP . 999 FINE COPPER. The reverse carries the circumscribed legend A COIN FOR THE FERRYMAN. A circular mark containing an impressed hourglass device is positioned on the right field. No maker’s name, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The round shows signs of handling and storage. The obverse exhibits a bright lustre with fine surface scratches and minor contact marks visible in the fields. The reverse displays sharp detail with small abrasions and light handling marks visible on the high-relief skeletal figure. No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
