Lot 265: A Relief-Decorated Metal Box Containing a Collection of Costume Jewellery

A rectangular metal box featuring a relief-moulded scene on the lid depicting Rembrandt’s The Night Watch, framed by a border of scrolling foliate and floral motifs. The sides of the box are further decorated with embossed scrollwork. The box contains a collection of costume jewellery and trinkets, including beaded necklaces and bracelets in materials such as glass, plastic, and mother-of-pearl, along with turquoise-coloured and aventurine beads. The contents include items in retail packaging with barcode labels reading K2073-C-P1012 and MADE IN CHINA, and a collectible card marked MILLIE THE MILLENNIUM BUG. A blue mesh organza pouch is also included. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the metal box.
