This lot comprises three mantel clocks of varying architectural and decorative designs. The first clock is of architectural form, featuring a reddish-brown composite case with a pediment top and four fluted columns with gold-tone accents. The circular white dial is printed with the word QUARTZ and features black Arabic numerals. The second item is an anniversary-style clock with a glazed case and a gold-tone metal frame supported on a stepped base. It features a rotating torsion-style pendulum with four spherical weights. The circular dial is printed with QUARTZ and contains a decorative scroll centre with a white chapter ring and black Roman numerals. The third is a small carriage-style clock in a metal case with a fixed top handle and four bun feet. It features a square face with a circular chapter ring and black Roman numerals set against a dark textured background. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The clocks show signs of significant surface dust accumulation and handling wear throughout (photo 1). Minor scuffs and surface scratches are visible to the bases and metal frames. The internal quartz movements and the rotating pendulum of the anniversary-style clock remain untested and their functionality is not guaranteed. No original boxes or instructions are present.
