A Raleigh Chopper Mark III limited edition bicycle, featuring a steel frame finished in fluorescent pink. The bicycle is constructed with high-rise ape-hanger handlebars and a black vinyl-upholstered saddle with a corresponding backrest supported by a sissy bar with spring detailing. Notable fittings include a rear metal luggage rack, mudguards, and a kickstand. A central rectangular identification plate is affixed to the top tube, featuring a silver-coloured hexagonal grid ground and black text reading LIMITED EDITION, 1122, and CHOPPER MARK III. The down tube bears a yellow CHOPPER decal with red outlines, while the seat tube is marked RALEIGH and the top tube ARROWWEDGE. A Raleigh crest badge is present on the head tube. The bicycle is equipped with a twist-grip gear shifter and front and rear rim brakes. No further maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The bicycle shows signs of significant age and use. The fluorescent pink paintwork is faded and exhibits surface grime throughout (photo 1). The identification plate on the top tube displays fine surface crazing across the decal (photo 2). Surface oxidation and rust spotting are present on the metal components, including the rear rack, sissy bar, and mudguards (photo 3). The drive chain is heavily rusted (photo 3). The black vinyl seat padding shows staining and wear, with a small tear to the upper left corner of the backrest (photo 3). The rubber handlebar grips are worn and soiled (photo 1). No original packaging is included.
