A contemporary painted figurine, stylised as a caricature of a golfer. The figure is depicted in mid-stride, pulling a two-wheeled golf bag with one hand and carrying a single club over the opposite shoulder. The golfer is dressed in traditional attire comprising a yellow flat cap, a green vest worn over a white long-sleeved shirt, tan knickerbockers, and diamond-patterned socks. The sculpture features a faceted surface texture intended to simulate the appearance of hand-carved wood. The entirety is mounted on an integral base textured and painted to represent a grass lawn. An incised mark is visible on the green base, consisting of a monogram of the characters D and F, positioned above the digits 96 and a copyright symbol. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The figurine shows signs of minor surface wear and handling. Small areas of paint loss are visible, most notably on the black handle of the club held over the shoulder (photo 1) and around the lower edges of the green base (photo 1). A minor scuff is present on the surface of the golfer\'s left sleeve (photo 3). The painted finish remains otherwise intact across the figure. No protective packaging or case is provided.
