This lot comprises six commercial and utility vehicles constructed from die-cast metal and plastic. The group includes a yellow tipper truck with a yellow body and a moulded load, featuring the printed text THORLEY’S FOOD in red on the sides. A second yellow flatbed truck features a chassis similar to the tipper and a moulded load, with side text reading USE FERROCRETE AND SAVE TIME. A maroon single-deck bus is finished in a burgundy livery with gold-tone lettering for DEVON GENERAL. A delivery van is presented with a dark brown top and lavender-grey body, featuring the side text THE SKETCH WEEKLY 6D. A blue tanker truck consists of a blue cab and chassis supporting a green fuel tank marked with a red FINA logo. The final vehicle is a van with a red cab and chassis and a green plastic tilt, decorated with side graphics depicting a drummer and the text DRUMMER DYES and THE RELIABLE HOME DYES. The base of the red van features raised lettering reading CORGI, A.E.C. VAN, and MADE IN GT BRITAIN. The side panels of the remaining vehicles feature printed commercial graphics and brand names. Each vehicle features free-rolling wheels with spoked hub designs. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The vehicles exhibit general signs of play wear throughout. Small chips and scuffs to the paintwork are visible on the leading edges, wheel arches, and rooflines across the collection (photo 1). Fading and edge wear are present on the printed graphics and decals, most notably on the FINA tanker and the Drummer Dyes van (photo 1). A light accumulation of dust is present in the crevices and on the underside of the vehicles. All wheels are securely attached and roll freely. No original packaging is included.
