This lot comprises a Mid-20th Century stoneware service featuring a two-tone gloss glaze with a chocolate brown exterior and a contrasting pale eggshell blue interior. The group includes a lidded pot with a curved handle and short spout, four cups, three saucers, a small cream jug, and an open bowl. The components are of stoneware construction. The base of the cream jug bears the stamped legend DENBY MADE IN ENGLAND 1/4 PT. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The service shows signs of light handling and use. Faint surface marks are visible on the glaze of several items (photo 1). No visible cracks, chips, or restorations are reported on the illustrated pieces. One saucer is missing from the matching set. No original packaging is present.
