A 2014 copper round of circular form with a reeded edge, struck in .999 fine copper. The obverse features a detailed depiction of a kneeling prospector in a wide-brimmed hat panning for gold at the edge of a stream, set against a mountainous landscape. The scene is encircled by the struck legend AMERICAN PROSPECTOR. An impressed mark to the left of the figure reads GSM © 2014. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with an outstretched wingspan and a central shield, clutching an olive branch and three arrows in its talons. Struck inscriptions along the rim read COPPER .999 FINE, USA, and ONE A.V.D.P OUNCE. No other makers marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The round shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays numerous fine surface scratches and contact marks across the fields and raised relief (photo 2), with small areas of dark toning near the left rim. The reverse exhibits handling wear with fine scratches and contact marks throughout, accompanied by localised oxidation and toning visible around the eagle and the lower inscriptions (photo 1). No protective capsule or packaging is supplied.
