A UK 1894 silver crown, struck in .925 sterling silver. The obverse features the veiled portrait of Queen Victoria, with the initials T.B. struck below the bust truncation. The surrounding legend reads VICTORIA · DEI · GRA · BRITT · REGINA · FID · DEF · IND · IMP ·. The reverse displays the Saint George and Dragon motif with the date 1894 struck in the exergue and the initials B.P. positioned on the ground line to the right. The coin features a lettered edge, with the segment REGNI visible. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The coin shows signs of environmental exposure and significant handling. The obverse exhibits heavy circulation wear to the high points of the portrait and the legend, with multiple rim nicks and dents at the 3 o\'clock and 7 o\'clock positions (photo 2). The surface displays dark, uneven tarnish and numerous contact marks. The reverse shows similar circulation wear to the figures and ground line, with corresponding rim damage and tarnish. No protective capsule or original packaging is supplied.
