Lot 85: A 925 Silver and Oval Charoite Cabochon Brooch

An oval brooch featuring a large central charoite cabochon. The gemstone exhibits the characteristic chatoyant, fibrous appearance and swirling patterns of violet, lavender, and white. The stone is secured within a plain bezel setting, further embellished by an outer decorative twisted rope border. The brooch is constructed from 925 silver. The reverse is fitted with a horizontal hinged pin mechanism and a C-clasp closure. Small indented marks are present on the reverse at the top edge of the inner bezel frame, though these are too worn to be clearly legible.
