This lot comprises a collection of banknotes from various Eastern European and Post-Soviet territories. The group includes a Belarus 50 Rubles note dated 2000, inscribed БІЛЕТ НАЦЫЯНАЛЬНАГА БАНКА РЭСПУБЛІКІ БЕЛАРУСЬ and ПЯЦЬДЗЯСЯТ РУБЛЁЎ, featuring a depiction of the Brest Fortress. A Ukraine 2 Hryvni note dated 2013 is present, featuring serial number T 35500690 and Yaroslav the Wise. The assembly also contains a Poland 100 Złotych note dated 1982 with serial AU 7687820 and a banner reading PROLETARYAT. Imperial Russian issues include a 1909 10 Rubles note, serial ИВ 643197, inscribed ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫЙ КРЕДИТНЫЙ БИЛЕТЪ and ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ, together with an 1898 1 Ruble note inscribed ОДИНЪ РУБЛЬ. Additional components include a USSR 200 Rubles note dated 1991, a Croatia 10 Dinara note dated 1991 inscribed REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA, and a Yugoslavia 1000 Dinara note. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels other than the printed currency legends are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The collection shows mixed signs of handling and environmental exposure across the group (Photo 1). The 1898 and 1909 Imperial Russian notes and the 1991 Soviet issues exhibit heavy vertical and horizontal center folds, significant corner rounding, and surface staining (Photo 1). The more contemporary banknotes from Ukraine and Belarus appear in a higher grade, showing minor handling waves but retaining crisp edges (Photo 1). The 1982 Polish 100 Złotych note displays moderate circulation with visible creasing (Photo 1). The banknotes are loose and not supplied with protective capsules or albums.
