A decorative ensemble comprising a glazed ceramic heavy horse and a wooden brewery dray. The horse is modelled as a Shire or Clydesdale with a dark brown high-gloss glaze and white feathered legs. It is dressed in a full decorative show harness featuring synthetic leather-effect straps, gold-tone metal chains, and several circular brass-tone medallions. The four-wheeled dray is constructed of wood with metal-hubbed spoked wheels and a driver’s bench. The flatbed carries ten turned-wood barrels finished with a dark stain and simulated iron bands. A decorative gold-tone metal chain is threaded through the side stanchions to secure the load. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any component in the provided photographs.
Condition report:
The ceramic horse appears to be in good condition with no chips, cracks, or professional restoration visible (photo 1). The harness is intact and complete (photo 3). The wooden wagon and all ten barrels are present and structurally sound (photo 2). A light accumulation of dust is present throughout the set.
