A UK commemorative coin issued as part of the London 2012 Olympic Sports Collection. The heptagonal metal coin features a reverse design depicting an athlete performing a high jump over a horizontal bar. The legend at the base reads 50 PENCE and the LONDON 2012 logo is struck above the athlete. The coin is mounted in its original printed card presentation pack with the obverse face down and not visible. The card is decorated with stylised athletic imagery in pink, blue, and yellow with printed inscriptions reading LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION and ATHLETICS. A printed LONDON 2012 logo appears at the lower right corner. No fineness stamps, hallmarks, or maker names are visible on the coin or its packaging.
Condition report:
The reverse of the coin shows no visible circulation wear, scratches, or toning. The obverse is not visible within the card. The original illustrated presentation card retains sharp corners and shows no significant surface wear or creasing. The item is supplied in its original card packaging.
