A rectangular struck silver bullion bar produced by the Wessex Mint. The obverse face features a depiction of a panda eating bamboo, with the word PANDA struck vertically along the left edge. The lower section of the bar is impressed with the text Wessex™ Mint above the weight and purity specifications 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER. To the left of the manufacturer name is a circular impressed device containing a central runic character resembling an M, flanked by two mirrored P characters, all within a beaded circular border. The reverse is not visible.
Weight: 1 gram (0.032 oz t).
Condition report:
The bar shows significant surface toning and oxidation across both the recessed fields and raised relief, resulting in a dark, mottled appearance (photo 1). Fine surface scratches and handling marks are visible throughout, particularly on the panda figure and flat background areas (photo 1). Small nicks and minor indentations are present along the raised outer border (photo 1).
