A rectangular commemorative silver bullion coin issued by the Solomon Islands with a face value of half a dollar. Struck in 2.5 grams of .999 fine silver, the coin features a frosted architectural depiction of the Roman Colosseum on the reverse, set against a dark polished field. This side is inscribed with the word ROME and the year 2015, alongside a frosted globe and architectural silhouettes. The obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with the artist initials IRB clearly visible below the neck. The obverse is further inscribed with SOLOMON ISLANDS, HALF DOLLAR, and 2,5 g FINE SILVER 999. A small mint mark consisting of a diamond border containing the letters LEV is present on the obverse field.

Condition report:
The coin displays significant signs of wear and handling. Extensive surface scuffing and fine scratches are visible on the dark polished fields of both the obverse and reverse (photos 1 and 3). The perimeter of the rectangular coin shows heavy edge damage, including nicks, burrs, and a rough, irregular texture along the entire rim (photos 1 and 2). There is visible toning and minor oxidation on the raised silver elements, along with clear fingerprints and handling marks across the surfaces (photo 3).
