This lot comprises two rectangular advertising signs celebrating classic British motoring heritage. The first sign features the Mk 1 Ford Transit, depicted in a purple-blue colourway against a vibrant orange and yellow gradient background. It includes the text The Original FORD TRANSIT Mk 1. The second sign depicts the classic branding for Castrol GTX Motor Oil, utilising the iconic red, white, and green tricolour scheme. Both signs are modern decorative items manufactured from printed tinplate with a faux-distressed finish to simulate age. Each sign is equipped with four pre-drilled mounting holes at the corners.
Condition report:
The signs are in good overall condition. Both pieces are modern reproductions featuring a printed aged effect to the borders and corners. There is light surface wear, minor scuffing, and slight bending to the corners consistent with display and handling.
