This 2025 Arizona series Goldback is a private voluntary currency with a denomination of One Half (1/2). It is manufactured by Goldback Inc. using Aurum technology, which consists of a thin layer of 24 carat gold foil sandwiched between protective polyester layers. The note contains 1/2000th troy ounce of 24 carat gold and is exchangeable by the issuer for US gold coin to bearer on demand. The central design depicts a woman representing Fides (Faith), who is seated and holding a lit candle. The surrounding desert landscape includes a roadrunner, doves, and a mission-style architectural structure in the background. The text The Lord is my light is inscribed below the central figure. The note carries the serial number AF96924, printed vertically on the left-hand side. Additional inscriptions include the US patent number 10,750,530, Privately Issued, Not US Dollar Legal Tender, and the Goldback.com URL. A printed signature is located in the lower right corner. The note features a predominantly gold metallic field with intricate red patterned borders and black engraved-style imagery.
Condition report:
Uncirculated. The note is in pristine condition, showing no signs of folds, creases, pinholes, or surface wear. It is currently housed in a clear plastic protective sleeve.
