The obverse depicts a stylized figure of the winged Archangel Michael dressed in plate armour, holding a sword and a shield bearing a cross. The text ARCHANGEL MICHAEL is inscribed vertically to the left of the image. The lower half of the bar features the manufacturer name Wessex Mint next to a circular logo containing a runic-style monogram and a triskelion symbol. The bottom of the bar is struck with the weight and purity specifications 1 GRAM and 999 FINE SILVER.

Condition report:
The bar exhibits heavy dark toning and surface patina across the obverse side. Fine scratches and minor handling marks are visible on the fields and along the edges.
