Buyer's Premium:

An official medallic first day cover issued by the International Society of Postmasters (Association Internationale des Receveurs de la Poste). The cover features a single 1.85 denomination Israeli commemorative stamp issued for the 70th anniversary of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. The stamp is cancelled with a Jerusalem circular date stamp (CDS) in Hebrew, English, and Arabic, dated 17 February 1976. Inset into the cream-coloured card stock envelope is a limited edition sterling silver proof medal. The obverse of the medal depicts a portrait of Boris Schatz, the founder of the academy, set against a background of geometric shapes. The reverse of the medal carries commemorative inscriptions in English and French. The reverse of the cover features a printed certificate of authenticity signed by Kenneth O. Strom (President) and Gaston Meunier (Secretary General).

Condition report:

The item is in good collectible condition. There is minor age-related toning and some faint foxing visible on the card stock, particularly on the reverse side near the certificate text. The sterling silver medal remains sealed in its original mounting and displays the high-relief frosted finish characteristic of a proof strike. The stamp centring is slightly shifted towards the top-right margin.
