UK Bank of England Series D one pound banknote. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at the right, the Bank of England seated Britannia crest at the lower left, and the signature of Chief Cashier J.B. Page. The serial number H11 254548 is printed in black at the lower right. The reverse depicts Sir Isaac Newton (1642–1727) alongside a scientific vignette including a telescope, a diagram of the solar system showing planetary orbits, and apple blossom. The note is printed in a palette primarily of green, olive, and orange tones with intricate geometric patterns. Visible security features include a vertical security thread and a watermark area to the left of the main obverse portrait.
Condition report:
Uncirculated (UNC). The banknote is in excellent condition, displaying sharp corners, clean margins, and original paper crispness. There are no visible folds, creases, tears, pinholes, or foxing.
