Commemorative Five Pounds coin issued by the Bailiwick of Guernsey in 2006 to mark the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. This numismatic item is a silver proof strike with selective gold plating. The obverse features the fourth definitive portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley, with initials IRB visible below the neck, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY 2006. The reverse depicts a portrait of the Queen in profile wearing a Tudor-style cap before the Round Tower of Windsor Castle and a decorative floral motif. A gold-plated numeral 80 is centred in the field, with the denomination FIVE POUNDS at the base. Initials DB for designer David Birch are present on the shoulder truncation. Condition report:
Proof strike with mirrored fields and frosted devices. Surface condition shows some light handling marks, including minor smudges and faint hairline scratches visible on the dark mirrored fields.
