Buyer's Premium:

A collection of ten pre-decimal United Kingdom coins presented in a red card display folder titled Farewell to the £.S.D. System. The set contains a 1965 Winston Churchill commemorative crown, a 1967 half crown, a 1967 florin, a 1963 English shilling, a 1958 Scottish shilling, a 1967 sixpence, a 1961 threepence, a 1950 farthing, a 1967 penny, and a 1966 halfpenny. The coins are struck in cupro-nickel, nickel-brass, and bronze. Obverse designs primarily feature the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with the exception of the 1950 farthing which features King George VI. The Churchill crown features the reverse portrait by Oscar Nemon. This set was produced to commemorate the transition to the decimal currency system in 1971.

Condition report:

The cupro-nickel coins appear uncirculated with some light surface marks and minor edge toning. The bronze coins (penny, halfpenny, and farthing) exhibit significant dark toning and surface spotting. The Churchill crown is in near-uncirculated condition with a matte-like finish. The clear plastic case and card display show minor surface scuffing and internal dust.
