Coins, Gold & Silver Bullion Auction
A rectangular silver commemorative half-dollar coin issued by the Solomon Islands in 2015, part of the Famous World Landmarks series. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with the legends SOLOMON ISLANDS, HALF DOLLAR, and the metal purity 2,5 g FINE SILVER 999. A diamond-shaped privy mark containing the letters LEW is located in the lower field. The reverse depicts a Barcelona skyline motif including the Sagrada Família, a globe icon, and the date 2015. The item is struck with a proof-like finish, utilising frosted silver relief against dark mirrored fields.

Condition report:
The coin exhibits visible surface wear including numerous fine scratches and scuffs across the dark fields on both the obverse and reverse. The raised outer rims show significant mechanical damage, featuring multiple nicks, flattening, and a ragged appearance consistent with being removed from a mount.
