The obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, wearing a small crown and veil, with the circumscribed legend VICTORIA D:G: BRITT: REG: F:D:. The reverse displays the Saint George and Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1889 and the designer’s initials B.P. in the exergue. The coin features a milled edge.
Condition report:
Moderate wear to the high points of the design, including the Queen\'s profile and the musculature of the horse. The surfaces exhibit numerous fine scratches, contact marks, and significant dark toning, particularly around the legends and within the protected areas of the design.
